I have been photographing my parents the past few years. They have a peaceful existence in their retirement and I find it very beautiful. I help them with their projects and interact with them in their daily lives for one week every summer. This gives me the chance to simply be there to photograph those moments when old age shows its own beauty, dignity and tenderness or when exhaustion sets in at noon or when certain habits become downright whimsical. There is a feeling of timelessness in their activities and the emotions expressed are universal.
