My photographs are a visual journey and I follow the paths that are open to me. A constant theme in my work has been the exploration of the landscape, which I see as a source of myth and symbol. They are portraits of the universal. Photography is a tool that can raise our self-awareness and expand our connections with this earth. I am interested in formalist/minimalist space and feel a kinship with the paintings of Mark Rothko and Brice Marden. My goal is to make photographs that explore life, express beauty, and evoke emotional responses.
