Richard Lewis

Exploring antiquarian photographic processes and ideas, Richard Lewis uses large format cameras in the vein of 19th Century French and American survey photo projects. His large-scale black and white contact prints from paper negatives show rivers and waterways in the Pacific Northwest, and are both haunting and thoughtful in their composition and stylistic interpretation.
