Artist Statement
In, On, Through
There is both magic and fascination peering into a glass space, or or a window and discovering a reflection, something behind you. All of that is laid on top of whatever it is that is beyond the glass. There is layering that occurs. That layering is a gift in one click of the camera's shutter.
I have been tickled by that phenomenon shown here In, On, Through for a very long time. I have never artificially created that Visual Passage. It is either there to surprise me, or not. But I do not have a hand in its creation, simply a hand in the recording of the visual gift.
