This past year I experienced a debilitating mental health crisis. As I lost my sense of reality I also started to lose touch with myself and the things I loved to do. It became harder for me to leave the house and continue practicing photography. I turned to video games as a photographic subject, moving the camera beyond the boundaries of what is normally seen by the people who play these games. The disconnect I felt from the world I see reflected in these photos; viewing the unrendered topography and fragmented landscapes from the outside was a sharp parallel to my isolated non-participation in the world.
