In 2020, as the world came to a standstill, I found myself surrounded by my thoughts and ideas but with little room to create. When it became slightly safer, I turned to those closest to me-family and friends-as both my subjects and collaborators. Our sessions began with a simple yet profound question: “How are you right now?”

These conversations opened a space for vulnerability, reflection, and connection. The resulting portraits became more than just images; they were visual records of shared moments during an uncertain time. As I photographed, I realized the weight and beauty of this question, its ability to anchor us to the present, even in turmoil.

“How are you right now?” evolved into an ongoing exploration-a series that captures people not only as they appear but as they feel in a given moment. Each portrait stands as an intimate exchange, a document of resilience, honesty, and humanity.
