“The people I know, haven’t met, and will never know; the spaces they inhabit and the science of the unquantifiable” is a living archive comprised of many smaller projects. The archive is a documentation of individual life, points of intersection between people, the home and personal stories. It seeks to collect, compact, understand, present stories and visualize trauma. The archive is presented through books and installation.
The project presented is titled “Conversations with Ora.” This collaborative exploration of my grandmother’s home comes to life through images and mail correspondence between myself and 90 year old grandmother. It speaks to time, unspoken trauma and the history of one person through the perspective of two people.
