Brian Kosoff
Artist Statement:
“The work I am submitting relates to the changes we are going through related to energy and the conversion from fossil to renewable fuels. The images submitted show wind farms in operation as well as construction, an oil refinery and power lines. The change from fossil fuels to renewables is an existential one so I thought it an appropriate submission.”
Artist Bio:
“My career in photography started in NYC almost 50 years ago when I started as an assistant to magazine photographers at age 17. About 25 years ago I closed my NYC photo studio and devoted myself to my personal work. My preference is landscape images, maybe a result of my being raised in a big city. I love open and minimal spaces although lately I have been photographing more urban scenes. My wife and I moved to Portland 10 years ago.”
