Artist Statement:

“In this series, I explore the agency of the uncanny, in which photographs that evoke a sense of unease or discomfort can challenge and subvert our expectations, perceptions, and emotions. I seek to capture the moments when the ordinary becomes unsettling and the disturbing coexists in an eerie harmony.

Developed by psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, the uncanny is closely linked to the familiar, and it often arises from a sense of something that should have remained hidden. It is closely tied to our deepest, most primal fears and desires.”
