Artist Statement:

“Humans have designed life on this planet that for many separates the human experience from communing with ourselves in nature. What do we regain when we can feel removed from the systems that govern our existence? What do we renew? Moments of immersive presence in nature, reflecting on self, memories, and giving a sense of belonging can bring our spirits much needed rest and renewal. There is an importance on what remains and what we still have time to save.”

Artist Bio:

“Guided by my introspective sense of place and belonging, I examine themes around human consciousness reflected in nature. I’ve long investigated the idea of where our physical and non-physical worlds intertwine, engaging in a visual dialogue around the bewildering experience of existing as a human. My practice is heavily influenced by the idea of memory, grief, and connecting the state of dreaming as a critical part of human life.”
