M.O.E
The World I Dream Of
Nov 2 - Dec 2, 2023
Our World is going through some heavy changes, this show is a way to go into our imagination and seek comfort. By choosing to take photographs of Graffiti style mural art around Portland I wish to capture the possibility of beauty in this world. The images that I took illustrate how an artist (the Graffiti/Muralist) can let their imaginations go wild and change something that appears to be broken, run down, or just old and tired, into a glimpse of a world filled with beauty.

M.O.E (they/them/theirs) is a young African American photographer and artist from Portland, Oregon. M.O.E’s love of photography started at a young age with a passion to change the world through pictures. M.O.E works to encapsulate the moment in a single shot. Sharing their view and perspective with all who see their work.
M.O.E is a person who has seen the truth in the world from a young age, starting their photography journey with King School Museum of Contemporary Art (KsMoCA) at the age of 8 years old with their first show The Imagine. M.O.E continues to share their photography and art with the world with their second collection of pieces, The Imagine 2, and the creative collaboration that they started with their mom, Nikki Hall-McRae, during Covid entitled Day Dreaming.
M.O.E uses their art to share their vision with others. M.O.E believes in using their Art as Activism, in part because of the influence of their parents who also believe in creating Art as Activism.
