Artist Statement
The shock of coming out of a 3 year pandemic and seeing unmasked crowds is jolting. After such a long period of time in self isolation, and seeing only blank masks as substitute for facial expressions, the pent-up desire for connection and celebration is overwhelming. Unfortunately we are still vulnerable.
