Personally, I  never photograph faces with the idea of making the model recognizable or identifiable. That always brings us back to the one thing I am deliberately out to avoid– anecdote. More than the female, I am looking for feminity. A photograph is interesting not so much for what it shows us, but for what it suggests to us, for what it writes in the shadows.
