"Remainders" is Kelli Yon's quiet exploration of estate sales. Among the left-over pieces of people's life, Yon searches for clues to the personality and soul of the individuals who once inhabited these homes. She writes, "Are they dead? Did they accomplish what they wanted in their lives? Were they understood by others? Who will remember them? The wedding dress? Debris under the bed? Would they see what I see? Do they see me here now?" Her color photos document cultural artifacts and transition that is universally experienced.
