Mark Ruwedel

Mark Ruwedel's black and white images are part of his ongoing project, Pictures of Hell, a collection of photographs of Western landscapes named for the devil or hell. The series includes views of over 200 locations, and the subject of this work is not so much the particular landscapes depicted, but rather the relationships between landscapes and the names by which they are known.
