Edis Jurcys’ Thread is a compendium of B&W photographs taken over 25 years, in locations ranging from his native Lithuania to his current home, Portland, from Siberia to Seattle, from Tokyo to Rome. He manages to magnify both sacred and trivial things, giving them dignity and respect while capturing honest feelings with his unique perspective. Some of the photographs are mystical, seeing reflections of reflections, as if we lived in the kingdom of mirrors - in a world where images represent images that imagine themselves.
