Artist Statement
2020 has been one of those landmark years we are still struggling to understand and to accept. The corona virus has changed us for sure, perhaps forever.
Sometimes we see something along the road that makes us laugh out loud. These days we could use that! This picture should have more than one title. Mine is: "Be sure to stay at least 6 hooves away!" What's yours?
Artist Bio
Dale Garell is a photographer in his 80's who has exhibited in California, the Pacific Northwest and in Paris. Most of his publications have been in black and white, after the work of photographers of the early 20 Century like Cartier-Bresson. He published a book, "Turning the Camera Inward: A search for a Photography of the self. He has also published several books of photos and is currently working on a second book, "Taking Photos without a Camera" about what we might learn about ourselves through similar observations of the world and the people we see--even without a camera.
