Artist Statement
The experience of 2020 has certainly been a unique one. The images that I am submitting show fracture, fissure, and fraying. I don’t expect the next six months to stray very far from this theme. There is hope, which is perhaps conveyed by the colorfulness of these images, so all is not despair. But the good will come only after the serious unraveling and un-peeling of the past-accepted norms of our society.
Artist Bio
I have been engaged in one way or another with photography from a very early age. Subjects range from travel photography to street photography to abstract work. I have participated in both individual and group shows in the Portland area and on the Oregon Coast – both in physical galleries and online. I am now happily retired from a career that did not allow enough time for photography, and I split by time between the Oregon Coast and the Sonoran Desert.
