Artist Statement
Winter Colors is a body of work that highlights the magnificent frozen winters of Hokkaido, Japan. Hokkaido is the most northern island of Japan. Its famous harsh frozen winters transforms the island into a magical winter wonderland. Throughout my expedition, to the island all dressed in white, I reveal the magical colors that often go unnoticed. Under the most perfect illumination, these colors gradually transform a scene of white into a colorful and romantic impression.
