Susan Moldenhauer

Artist Statement

Almost four years ago, Donald Trump became the President of the United States. His election was a shock to many, and I was compelled to convey my own deep concern for our collective future. The series, View from Home, begins with his inauguration. iPhone images made from my high plains Wyoming home are combined with national, international, and personal events, actions, and quotes that are captured within a day of each other. Collectively, the diaristic sequence of images reflect America today. The images submitted were made since the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.
