Tricia Cassels
Tricia Cassels lives in Seattle, WA with her three children and pets. Her project consists entirely of iPhone photos taken in 2019. Her photos celebrate the often-overlooked ability to see beauty and light in everyday items.
This topic is important to Tricia for two reasons. First, after the end of a 20-year marriage that often felt dark, she is embracing and enjoying both the literal and emotional lightness of being in a new home. Second, after experiencing a medical issue which resulted in some vision loss, she is experiencing an overwhelming appreciation for her now altered vision. She often finds herself staring at the light both in her home and outside, and taking entirely too many photographs.
