Call for entry open now for Blue Sky's FIRST Members online Exhibition

Blue Sky would like to thank you, our Members, for your generous support over the years by exhibiting your photo-based work on our website this summer.

To participate, please submit images that reflect your own experiences of 2020 so far, or your visions for the next six months to come. All current Blue Sky members are eligible to submit up to five images for consideration. Blue Sky staff will jury at least one and up to three images by each artist into the online exhibition.

Decisions announced: June 30, 2020
First Thursday virtual opening: July 2, 2020

Submission Requirements

  • All artists submitting work MUST be a current Blue Sky member. To become a member or update your membership, please join here.  If you are unsure of your membership status, please contact amandaclem@blueskygallery.org. 

  • All art must be original photo-based work created by the submitting artist; no work will be accepted into the show which is in violation of any copyright. 

  • Each artist may submit up to 5 images. At least 1 and up to 3 images will be selected by Blue Sky staff for the online exhibition. All images must be sized to 1500 pixels for the longest dimension at 72 DPI.  Image files must be named as follows: FirstInitial_LastName_Title_Date.jpeg and must be in jpeg format.

  • Please include a short artist statement (100 words or less) that ties your images to the theme as well as an artist bio (also 100 words or less).

  • Submissions are due to Blue Sky Gallery by midnight (PST) on Friday, June 26th. Please submit using this online form.

  • Work that does not meet these guidelines will not be included in the exhibition. Blue Sky reserves the right to reject any images for any reason.
