Artist Statement
Inspired by my ongoing fascination with animals, nature and shadows, Nocturnes explores dreamlike images of mysterious landscapes, bones, stairs, haunting moon phases, and sentient creatures in their most vulnerable state.
Aimed at capturing life’s nocturnal undercurrents, this series constructs a story of fear, isolation, and transition that parallels my personal journey from a young art student living in New York City to my current post-Katrina home in Southeast Louisiana.
