Artist Statement
Fallen Lady represents the transition from useful object or structure to uselessness as a result of aging due to disuse and the ravages of the elements. The useless object, however, can be visually stimulating or intriguing on its own. Alley Sill Life represents the beginnings of this aging process but also the transition from day to night through the light patterns on the wall. The red sandals and the stairs represent the transition from public to private life and from indoors to outdoors.
