Donna's House, Glass Shelves
“My friend Donna is 86 and is in the process of downsizing. Her large suburban house is becoming too much for her to keep. So Donna is sorting through her belongings. The time has come for her to let go of some of her treasures. I asked if could photograph in her house, and so I visit her to make pictures and we chat about our common interests. We talk about the sadness of what she is going through and I wonder if this will be me some day. How do we balance the memories contained in our life’s possessions with the need to move to a smaller place of residence?”
