William Washburn

A construction worker by trade, Bill Washburn has had the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with a number of Mexican seasonal co-workers who come up to Portland during the summer months and return to Mexico for the winter. In this series of documentary-style black and white images, Washburn presents photos from Michoacan, Mexico, a rural community in Central Mexico and the hometown for many of his co-workers. Studies in relationships between people, place and time, Washburn's images are honest reflections of daily life in small-town Mexican culture.
