Palindrome

Born in 1966 in France, Fred Lebain originally trained as a chef, then worked as a food stylist before becoming a professional photographer.  The color portraits for Palindrome have an eerie quality as if something is amiss but you can’t quite place your finger on what it is.  As Lebain describes the process of sitting for his portraits, “There is nothing else to do but let go, give up all control, to relax flesh and muscles in a welcome abandon.”
