Len Jenshel & Diane Cook
Border Walls
September 4, 2008 - September 29, 2008
Prompted by their government’s plan to build a “Great Wall of America”, Diane Cook and Len Jenshel photographed along the entirety of the 1,952 mile border – from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Working on both sides of the line, Cook and Jenshel explored both the physical presence of these barriers, and how an abstract concept like border might be interpreted within the natural landscape.
