Artist Statement
A photo is already a degree of separation from nature. Add its portrayal in sculpture, mural or postage stamp and you have another. While the pandemic brought a lot of separation, it also seemed to bless us with more connection to nature. I hope that continues as we transition back to more regular lives.
Also, while it's been good to deepen ties locally, I've missed travel. Each of these more local shots have been paired with a stamp that's traveled from afar. They tantalize me to begin dreaming of more far-flung travel again.
