Artist Statement
I am a photographer and photo-based artist centered on architectural documentation and preservation. At a time of fast and momentous transition in my city and state, with whole city blocks obliterated for new construction, I am on a mission to capture Seattle’s architecture as I experience it in the moment. With a combination of representational accuracy and lyrical touch, I am on a mission to create a historical record of built environments and make others aware of their significance not only as shelter but also for their historical, aesthetic and community-building qualities.
