Artist Statement
The transition from day to night is prolonged in Sweden in the summer, providing photographers with a prolonged golden hour. These photos were taken on the Gota Canal in Sweden in July 2019, when the twilight goes almost until morning. The classic cruise ships were built at the turn of the 20th century, more than 100 years ago. The Gota Canal goes from Gothenburg to Stockholm, and is a pleasant return to a bygone era.
