Artist Statement
Eons of geologic time and climate changes leave visual traces across the land: fossil deposits, volcanic residues, mutations in color. Other changes occur rapidly, the result of natural forces like earthquakes, landslides or human decision-making.
The transition away from a year of sheltering feels monumental, but change is constant. Landscapes bear witness.
